Right of Withdrawal (14 days)
Under articles 102–108 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (TRLGDCU), a consumer who has entered into a contract remotely (online, by phone or by email) or off-premises has the right to withdraw within 14 calendar days without giving any reason and without penalty.
Time limit
14 calendar days counted from:
• The date the service contract is concluded (payment confirmation).
If information about the right of withdrawal was not provided, the period is extended to 12 months. If the last day of the period falls on a public holiday or non-working day, it is extended to the next working day. To meet the deadline it is sufficient to send the notice before it expires.
When the right does not apply
The right of withdrawal does not apply where:
• The service has been fully performed before the 14-day period expires, provided performance began with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that, once fully performed, you lose the right of withdrawal (art. 103.a TRLGDCU).
If, at the student's express request, performance (the start of classes) has begun within the 14 days but has not been completed, on withdrawal the school may retain an amount proportional to the services already provided relative to the total contract.
How to exercise this right
Communicate your decision to withdraw unambiguously by one of the following means:
• Email: artes@ylc.es (subject: "Withdrawal")
• Post: Av. de l'Institut Obrer de València, 21, 46013 València
Please state: your name, the course name, the date of conclusion/payment and your contact details.
Model form (Annex B of the TRLGDCU):
"To YLC Valencia (Yana Aleksandrova), Av. de l'Institut Obrer de València 21, 46013 València, artes@ylc.es. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the provision of the service [course name] concluded/paid on [date]. Consumer name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date]. Signature (only if submitted on paper)."
The school will acknowledge receipt of your request immediately by email.
Consequences and refund
The refund will be:
• Full amount — if the service has not started.
• Proportionally reduced for services already provided — if the course started at your request within the period.
The refund will be made using the same payment method you used, within a maximum of 14 calendar days of the school receiving the request. No charge will be applied for the refund.
Course materials
Digital materials provided during classes remain with the student. Access to online platforms or school resources granted after the course started may be withdrawn from the date the withdrawal is confirmed.
