Accessibility Statement
This statement reflects the accessibility level of the ylcvalencia.es website. YLC Valencia is committed to making its website accessible in line with the principles of Spanish Law 11/2023, which transposes EU Directive 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act), and the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard.
Compliance status
The website ylcvalencia.es partially complies with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1). "Partially" means that some content is fully compliant while certain elements are not yet conformant; these are listed below. We are actively working towards full compliance.
Accessibility measures in place
We have implemented the following accessibility measures:
• Semantic HTML markup: heading hierarchy (H1–H6), landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), semantic lists and tables
• Colour contrast ≥ 4.5:1 for body text and ≥ 3:1 for large text (WCAG 1.4.3)
• Keyboard navigation across main elements: menus, links, buttons and forms
• Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
• Responsive text sizing — scales to 200% without loss of content (WCAG 1.4.4)
• Alt attributes on meaningful images; decorative images marked with alt=""
• Accessible form markup: every input field associated with a label
• lang attribute for the page language; responsive design from 320 px
Work in progress
The following aspects are not yet implemented or only partially implemented:
• Closed captions (CC) for video content
• ARIA labels and aria-live regions for dynamically updated content
• Full keyboard support in custom interactive widgets (carousels, modal windows)
• Verified compatibility with mainstream screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) across all pages
• lang attribute markup for text fragments in other languages (WCAG criterion 3.1.2)
We plan to address these gaps progressively by the end of 2026.
Assessment method
Accessibility has been assessed by self-assessment: manual review of the markup and keyboard navigation, together with automated checks using accessibility analysis tools.
