What «language club» means

We're not a conveyor belt academy. Beyond classes — conversation meetups, Valencia city tours, cooking workshops, sport sessions and cultural evenings. We partner with local businesses — ONDA F.C., Beauty.Coworking, Lindo Pádel, Beyond Valencia Trips. Students come to learn, but they stay for the community.

Where we are

Avenida Instituto Obrero 21, bajo 06, 46013 Valencia. Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias district — right next to Valencia's main architectural landmarks (Calatrava), 10 minutes from Turia Park, well connected by public transport. 15 minutes by bike to the city centre.

How classes work

  • DELE A1—B2 preparation with mock exams
  • Summer intensive 36 or 72 hours (€349 / €599)
  • You can pause your course and resume later

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is YLC Valencia?
A language school in Valencia: Spanish for Russian speakers and expats, and English for Spanish speakers. More a community around living language than tick-box courses.
How old is the school?
Around 7 years. Over that time we built our own method, a team of bilingual teachers and a steady student community.
How is YLC different?
Small groups, speaking from the first lesson, explanations in a language you understand, and a flexible service: pause when you travel, make-up classes, free group change.
Is it a school or a club?
Both. Besides classes there are language clubs and a community where you practise the language in real conversation, not just at a desk.
Who studies here?
Adults: relocators from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus (often IT and freelance, 30–50) learn Spanish; Spanish speakers in Valencia learn English.
Are the two directions mixed?
No. Spanish for expats and English for Spanish speakers are separate tracks; the groups are never mixed.
Why does a relocator need your Spanish?
To live freely in the environment: doctor, rental, school for your child, paperwork, neighbours, bank. The focus is everyday life, not careers.
Who teaches?
Bilingual teachers with 3+ years of experience and regular in-house methodology training.
Where is the school?
Valencia, Avenida Instituto Obrero 21, in the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias district.
What are the opening hours?
Mon–Fri 10:00–21:00. Classes run in the morning, afternoon and evening.
What does "our kind of service" mean?
Course pause when you travel (paid lessons do not expire), make-up for missed classes, free group change if it does not fit, and flexible payment.
Does the school have partnerships?
It works with corporate clients (B2B), including FUNDAE for Spanish companies. The school has no official exam-centre accreditations.
Can I come and see the school?
Yes. The best way is to book a free trial lesson: you will see the space, the teacher and the group atmosphere in person.
Is the school accredited by Cervantes or Cambridge?
No. It is not affiliated with Instituto Cervantes, FEDELE or Cambridge ESOL and issues no official certificates, but it prepares thoroughly for exams.
