Cookie Policy

Pursuant to article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), the GDPR and the AEPD Cookie Guide, we inform you about the cookies used on ylcvalencia.es and how to manage your consent.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the user's browser when they visit it. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences and to gather statistics. Similar technologies are local storage and web beacons (pixels).

Types of cookies by purpose

A. Technical (strictly necessary) — always active, no consent required. They enable navigation, security and the operation of the site, and store your consent choice. B. Cookieless statistics — always active. Our own Umami counter runs on the school server, writes no cookies and collects no personal data. Under art. 22.2 LSSI-CE and the AEPD guidance, such measurement does not require consent. C. Third-party analytics — only with your consent. Google Analytics 4, Yandex Metrica and Microsoft Clarity write cookies and send data to their companies. Clarity additionally records cursor movement, scrolling and clicks to show how the page is used. This site uses no advertising or behavioural advertising cookies. Session recording (Yandex Metrica webvisor) is disabled, so what you type into forms is not recorded.

List of cookies used

Technical (always): • Your banner choice — stored in the browser local storage under the key ylc-cookie-consent-v1 and never sent to the server. Cleared with the button on this page. Own Umami statistics (always, no cookies): • No cookies are used. Visitors are told apart by a temporary fingerprint made of the network address, the browser and a key that changes daily; a person cannot be identified from it. • Data is stored on the school server in Germany and is not shared with anyone. Google Analytics 4 (only with «Analytics only» or «Accept all»): • _ga — distinguishing visitors — up to 24 months. • _ga_K7HP9WNE3R — session state — up to 24 months. Microsoft Clarity (only with «Accept all»): • _clck — visitor identifier — 12 months. • _clsk — links actions within a session — 1 day. • CLID — identifier on the Clarity side — 12 months. • MUID — general Microsoft identifier — 13 months. Yandex Metrica (only with «Accept all»): • _ym_uid — visitor identifier — 12 months. • _ym_d — date of first visit — 12 months. • _ym_isad — ad-blocker flag — 2 days. • yabs-sid — session identifier — until the browser is closed. Names and durations are set by the providers and may change; up-to-date details are in their documentation.

What data is collected

The own Umami statistics and, with your consent, Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica record: • the address of the page opened and the address you came from; • the browser language and the language version of the site you chose; • device type, screen resolution, browser and operating system; • country and city, determined approximately from the network address; • time on the page and the order of moves between pages; • target actions: sending a request, completing the level test and the quiz, pressing the sign-up buttons, going to payment, clicks on the phone number and messengers. With «Accept all», Microsoft Clarity additionally records the session: cursor movement, scrolling and clicks. This shows where people get stuck on a page. Not collected and not recorded: the contents of form fields before submission, passwords, payment details, correspondence. The Yandex Metrica webvisor is disabled and Clarity masks typing into fields. Target-action records store the fact of the action, without its content. The data you send through the form (name and contact) is processed separately and described in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party providers

• Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — Google Analytics 4, Google Fonts. Data may be transferred to the USA under the Data Privacy Framework. Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy • YANDEX LLC — Yandex Metrica. Data is processed on the company servers, including outside the European Union. Policy: https://yandex.com/legal/confidential • Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Clarity: heatmaps and session recordings. Data may be transferred to the USA under the Data Privacy Framework. What you type into forms is masked on the Clarity side. Policy: https://privacy.microsoft.com • Umami — open-source software installed on our own server. There is no external provider and no transfer to third parties.

Managing consent

On your first visit a banner is displayed with three equivalent buttons: • «Accept all» — own Umami statistics, Google Analytics 4, Yandex Metrica and Microsoft Clarity. • «Analytics only» — Umami and Google Analytics 4, without Yandex Metrica. • «Decline» — only the own Umami statistics, which writes no cookies. Until you choose, Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica and Microsoft Clarity are not loaded: silence does not count as consent, and neither does closing the banner without choosing. Declining does not degrade the site. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the button on this page, or by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Managing via the browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings: • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and Security › Cookies • Firefox: Preferences › Privacy & Security • Safari: Preferences › Privacy • Edge: Settings › Privacy Disabling technical cookies may affect the operation of the site.

Updates

This policy may be updated due to regulatory changes or AEPD requirements. The current version will always be available on this page. Last updated: June 2026.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does one level take?
On average 3–4 months per level with 2–3 group classes a week. The exact pace depends on your starting point and consistency — at the free trial we assess your level and give a realistic plan.
What level can I start from?
Any — from zero (A0/A1) to advanced. Groups are formed by level (A1–B2), with DELE prep available. Not sure? We measure your level for free at the trial.
What class formats are there?
In-school groups (up to 10), online mini-groups (up to 5), one-to-one in person and online, summer intensive. Morning, afternoon and evening to fit your schedule.
How many students per group?
Offline groups up to 10, online mini-groups up to 5. Small by design: everyone gets time to speak, not just listen to a crowd of 20+.
Is there a free trial class?
Yes. The first class is free — we get to know you and match the ideal group by level, schedule and vibe. Group not a fit? We switch you free.
How much does it cost?
Depends on the format: groups, online, one-to-one, intensive, packs. Up-to-date prices on the «Prices» page. Discounts for course payment, family and referrals.
How can I pay?
Flexible: card, Stripe, bank transfer, crypto. We find a convenient method — including for people who just relocated and have no local account yet.
What if I travel for a while?
We freeze your course — what you paid doesn’t expire. You come back and continue from the same point. Part of our service.
What if I miss a class?
It isn’t lost: a make-up or joining another group at the same level. Can’t come in person? Join your class online.
Are teachers native speakers?
Bilingual teachers with 3+ years of experience and regular in-house methodology training. Grammar is explained in a language you understand; Spanish share grows with your level.
What’s your methodology?
A communicative approach with a clear grammar structure: you speak from day one, grammar is reinforced in speech, topics from real life. Minimal drills, maximum practice.
Do you prepare for DELE?
Yes, DELE prep (A1–B2) with a mock exam. We’re not affiliated with exam centres and don’t issue official certificates, but we prepare you to pass.
Do you help with visa or housing?
No. We’re a language school: no visa paperwork or accommodation. The focus is on you living and speaking Spanish freely in Valencia.
Where is the school?
Valencia, Av. de l'Institut Obrer de València, 21 — Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias area. Map, directions and hours at the bottom of the page.
How do I sign up?
Fastest: the «Free trial» button or messenger (we reply within 1 business day). You can also take the short quiz and we’ll suggest the ideal course.
