Contract for the provision of educational services

Edition 2, of 8 September 2026

1. The parties

The Provider: a self-employed trader (autónomo) operating under the trading name Your Language Club Valencia: Yana Aleksandrova, NIE Y6017138F — English courses. Address for notices and place where in-person classes are held: Av. de l'Institut Obrer de València, 21, Quatre Carreres, 46013 València, Spain. Email: artes@ylc.es. Phone: +34 711 570 066. Hereinafter, «YLC Valencia». The Student: a natural person who has submitted an application on ylcvalencia.es and accepted the terms of this contract. If the Student is under 18, the contract is entered into on their behalf by their legal representative, who accepts these terms and assumes the payment obligations.

2. Subject of the contract

2.1. YLC Valencia provides language teaching services in a group or one-to-one format: in person at Av. de l'Institut Obrer de València, 21, Quatre Carreres, 46013 València, or online. 2.2. The specific course, level, format, schedule and price are set at the time of enrolment and recorded in the confirmation that YLC Valencia sends to the email address given by the Student, no later than before the service begins. 2.3. Services are provided in accordance with the course programme published at https://ylcvalencia.es/en/program

3. School year and schedule

3.1. School year: from September to June. 3.2. Classes follow the schedule published at https://ylcvalencia.es/en/calendar 3.3. YLC Valencia may change the schedule for a justified reason: illness or absence of the teacher, a change in the composition of the group, a change of classroom, or force majeure. YLC Valencia will give notice of the change by email at least 30 calendar days in advance; in the case of teacher illness or force majeure, immediately once it becomes known. 3.4. On national, regional and local public holidays in València classes are not held and are not rescheduled. The holiday calendar for the school year is published in advance at https://ylcvalencia.es/en/calendar 3.5. The monthly price is calculated on the annual teaching calendar, in which public holidays are already accounted for, and is not recalculated in months that contain holidays. 3.6. A class missed at the Student's own initiative gives no right to a refund or to a rescheduled class, except as provided in section 6.

4. Price and payment

4.1. The price is the rate in force on the date of enrolment. Rates are published at https://ylcvalencia.es/en/prices with the total amount payable. 4.2. The services are exempt from VAT under Article 20.Uno.9º of Law 37/1992 on Value Added Tax (language teaching). Invoices carry a reference to this provision. 4.3. Payment is monthly. The Student chooses one of the following: - a single payment for the month; - a subscription with automatic charging: the amount is charged each month on the same day of the month as the first payment. 4.4. Payment is taken from a bank card or by SEPA direct debit, at the Student's choice. 4.5. Payments are processed by the payment provider Stripe. YLC Valencia neither receives nor stores bank card details. 4.6. The first payment is made at enrolment. 4.7. For each payment YLC Valencia sends the Student an invoice to the email address given. A copy is available in the personal area on the website. 4.8. If an automatic charge fails, YLC Valencia will notify the Student and retry up to three times within seven calendar days. If payment is not received, access to classes is suspended until the debt is settled. 4.9. A 10% discount applies to students who have previously studied at YLC Valencia for at least one month, and where two or more members of the same family study at the same time. The discount is applied when the invoice is issued. If the second family member stops studying, the discount granted on that basis ends from the next billing period.

5. Price lock

5.1. On taking out a subscription, the price is locked until June 2027 inclusive — that is, for the whole school year. 5.2. During that period YLC Valencia will not raise the price for the Student, even if general rates have changed. 5.3. The lock holds as long as the subscription has not been interrupted on terms other than those set out in section 6. 5.4. The lock ends early if: - the Student cancels the subscription and takes out a new one — the rate in force on the date of the new enrolment then applies; - a suspension has exceeded the period stated in clause 6.4. 5.5. From June 2027 the subscription ends. There is no automatic renewal for the following school year: enrolment for the new year is made afresh at the rates in force at that time. 5.6. In July and August the subscription is suspended: no charges are made and no classes are held. 5.7. Outside the cases covered by clause 5.1, YLC Valencia may change the price by giving the Student at least 30 calendar days' notice by email. A Student who does not accept the new price may terminate the contract without any penalty before the change takes effect.

6. Suspension of classes

6.1. The Student may suspend classes several times during the school year, up to one month in total. 6.2. A suspension request is submitted through the personal area on the website or by email to artes@ylc.es. The suspension will not begin earlier than 14 calendar days from the date of the request. 6.3. During a suspension no charges are made, the Student's place in the group is held, and the locked price is preserved. 6.4. If the total interruption exceeds one month, the price lock under section 5 ends. On resuming classes, the rate in force on the date of resumption applies.

7. Duration, renewal and termination

7.1. The contract takes effect once the Student accepts its terms and remains in force until the end of the school year or until it is terminated. 7.2. YLC Valencia will notify the Student at least 15 calendar days before the end of the school year that the subscription is ending and will not renew automatically, and will explain how to enrol for the following year. Each monthly charge is notified together with the invoice. 7.3. The Student may terminate the contract at any time. The period already paid for is delivered in full. 7.4. A subscription is cancelled in the personal area with a single action, with no need to call, write letters or give reasons. 7.5. YLC Valencia may terminate the contract if payment is not received within 15 calendar days of a written reminder sent to the email address given by the Student, or in the event of repeated breaches of the centre's rules of conduct — having first notified the Student and allowed a reasonable period to remedy the breach.

8. Right of withdrawal

8.1. The Student has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of entering into it, without giving reasons and without any penalty. 8.2. To withdraw, it is enough to send an unambiguous statement to artes@ylc.es. The model withdrawal form attached to this contract may be used. 8.3. If the Student expressly asked for classes to begin before the 14-day period expired, on withdrawal they pay for the part of the service actually provided up to the moment of notice, in proportion to the total scope of the contract. 8.4. YLC Valencia refunds the sums received no later than 14 calendar days from receipt of the withdrawal notice, using the same means of payment.

Retention: for the term of the contract and thereafter for six years, as required by tax and civil law. 9.5. Recipients: the payment provider, the server infrastructure provider, and public authorities in the cases provided by law. 9.6. 10.1. The contract is concluded at a distance by electronic means. The Student reads the text on the website and gives consent by ticking the relevant boxes and pressing the payment button. 10.2. Those actions constitute a simple electronic signature within the meaning of Article 3.10 of Regulation (EU) 910/2014. 10.3. YLC Valencia records and stores: the date and time of confirmation, the IP address, device and browser details, the Student's name, surname and email address, the exact version of each signed document and its checksum, and the list of boxes ticked with the time of each. This information is available in the administrative part of the website and in the Student's record. 10.4. A copy of the signed contract is sent to the email address given by the Student. On the YLC Valencia side the document carries the facsimile signature of the person named in section 1. 10.5. The parties accept this form of contracting as equivalent to a paper document.

11. Liability

11.1. YLC Valencia is not liable for failure to perform its obligations due to force majeure. 11.2. A class cancelled at the initiative of YLC Valencia is rescheduled at a time agreed with the group. Where rescheduling is not possible, it is compensated by an additional class within the school year or, at the Student's choice, by a proportional reduction of the next payment. 11.3. YLC Valencia undertakes to provide the services to a proper professional standard. Whether the Student reaches a particular level of the language also depends on their participation in classes and their own work.

12. Dispute resolution

12.1. The parties will seek to resolve disagreements by negotiation. 12.2. Disputes not settled that way are heard by the courts having jurisdiction under Spanish law. 12.3. The Student may turn to the consumer protection bodies of the Valencian Community and may use out-of-court dispute resolution procedures.

13. Final provisions

13.1. YLC Valencia may amend the terms of the contract for a justified reason: changes in legislation, changes in the composition or conditions of the services, or changes in rates. The Student will be notified of any amendment at least 30 calendar days in advance by email. 13.2. Amendments do not affect a price locked under section 5. 13.3. If the Student does not accept the amendments, they may terminate the contract without any penalty. 13.4. The current edition of the contract is published on the website with its effective date.
