Frequently asked questions

Who is English at YLC for?
For Spanish-speakers who want English for their career, exams (Cambridge, IELTS) or daily life. In person near the City of Arts and online.
How does the flat rate work?
“Gym” model: a fixed fee, attend as many classes of your level as you want, with schedule flexibility and pause when needed.
What are class packs?
English Pass: you buy 15, 25 or 50 lessons and use them when it suits you. They run out after 3, 6 and 9 months. Handy when your week keeps changing.
Do you prepare Cambridge / IELTS?
Yes, exam-specific prep with a mock. We prepare you to pass; we’re not an official exam centre.
Is there business English?
Yes: business English for meetings, emails, calls and interviews — in person or at your company.
How many students per group?
Up to 12 people, usually fewer. At that size everyone has to talk in every class. One-to-one lessons are available too.
How do I know my level?
We assess it for free before you start (conversation or test) and place you in the right group.
How long to move up a level?
On average 3–4 months per level with 2–3 classes a week; depends on your base and consistency.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, the first class is free and we use it to pick your ideal group. Not a fit? Free switch.
Corporate training?
Yes: teacher on-site or online, attendance report and certificates on request. We work with FUNDAE.
Online classes?
Yes, online mini-groups and one-to-one. Can’t come in person? Join your class.
Can I pause?
With the flat rate, yes; packs don’t strictly expire.
Teachers?
Experienced, with ongoing methodology training, communicative approach from day one.
Payment methods?
Card, Stripe, transfer. Invoice on request; for companies adapted to their accounting.
